A Society is a collection of students united by a common goal or passion. Once formed, a Society can work with a variety of teachers and departments to help them grow in their passions and to share it with others in the Sixth Form. They are made by students, for students.
Societies allow you to share and practice your interests on a much larger scale than a simple friendship group – all with the backing of staff and the ability to use various school facilities. It also provides you with an opportunity to prove your leadership skills and initiative on your Personal Statement or CV.
Information on all the currently available Societies and how to join them are found below. If you are interested in starting a new one then simply talk to Mr Hammond who will give you all the information you need.
