This is a national competition that helps young people understand how the law touches every aspect of their lives, gaining an insight into how the legal justice system works. Schools are given resources, including specially written criminal cases, to help teams prepare legal arguments.
Pre-Covid the trial took place in a real criminal court in front of barristers or judges who would give marks and feedback on their performance. In preparation for trial, University of Bedfordshire allows student to use their mock court in their central Luton campus. This year the team will compete remotely through Teams.
